The story
Anime Festival started in Freiburg in 2018 as the sister event of Anime Messe. From 2023 to 2025 it took place three times at the Kongress Palais Kassel, in the heart of Germany, with renowned guests of honour such as Haruna Luna, nano, Yoko Ishida and composer Yuki Hayashi.
What comes next
We are taking the festival to the next level: we are currently evaluating new, strategically favourable locations across Germany to bring Anime Festival back even bigger and more impressive.
