You listen to AnimeRadio.de, you have been to Anime Messe, or you simply fancy building something with people who love anime as much as you do? Then you are in the right place. There is more than one way to join us.
Why get involved
With us you meet people who actively live their passion for anime, manga and Japan: we run a web radio that is on air around the clock, organise events for tens of thousands of visitors and bring Japanese stars onto the stage. All of it is volunteer work. Our biggest reward? Real friendships, unforgettable moments on and behind the stage and the great feeling of actively shaping our community.
Our planning and organisation run entirely digitally, mainly on Discord. So you do not have to live in Berlin to be part of it! We work together from across the German-speaking countries and meet in person at our big events or at information stands.

How it works
Join our Discord server, help at an event or simply write to us. You get to know us and we get to know you.
You simply fill in the short form further down. With it you officially sign up for our getting-to-know phase, no fuss. Go to the form
We get in touch for a relaxed chat, usually online via Discord. Together we look at which tasks you enjoy and where you can contribute best.
You start in one of our teams and get a taste of real association life for up to 12 months. Once you have actively contributed to a project, the board decides on your permanent admission as a member.
We finance our projects first and foremost through the active commitment of our community, not through expensive fees. That is why we deliberately keep the costs low for everyone.
Financial hurdles should not hold anyone back. If you are committed but financially restricted at the moment, the board always has an open ear. Just talk to us. Fees can be deferred, reduced or waived.
Payment is made conveniently by standing order, either annually on 5 January or monthly on the 5th of the month.

The reduction applies automatically to everyone who has not yet turned 21 on 1 January of the fee year. If you join during the year, the fee is calculated pro rata. Details in the fee regulation (German).

Application
Tell us briefly who you are and what you feel like doing! So that we get to know each other well, we start with a trial phase. Formally, this is your application for admission as a candidate.
